pound作“磅”解时是重量单位,一磅相当于0.454千克或16盎司,是可数名词,可缩写为lb。

pound作“英镑”解时是英国的主货单位,一英镑等于100便士,是可数名词,可用符号£表示。

表示“每一磅〔镑〕”可用不定冠词a(相当于per),而不可用one。
